It's not too bad. Retains some of the bass and throatiness. Doesn't sound like he went full throttle nor did it sound like he went on the far side of the tach. That's where these exhaust seem to get all buzzy and raspy.

Sounds good, but I have a feeling I'm not going to be "wow'd" until I hear either COBB or MBRP's exhaust. I've consistently liked the sounds their respective exhausts put out.

My ONLY hesitation regarding going EcoBoost over 5.0 is the exhaust sound. The engine sounds fine... the stock and aftermarket exhaust systems do not.

It's not much different than the ST...
And its not going to be.... The 2.3l is just a bigger and more refined version of the 2.0l. There just isn't much that can be done with a 4 cylinder exhaust... The key is to retain as much bass and throatiness as possible which this exhaust does well over the others that I have heard.

Just to clarify, I was replying to RubyRacer's comment since he's an ST owner.

Ooof, not a fan. It's like hearing that voice coming out of Aaron Neville, just doesn't look right.

Not necessarily true. Try googling 'mustang svo exhaust' on youtube. You'll find some pretty good sounding 4 cylinders.

Here's just one I found after 2 clicks: [ame]

I'm sure there are better quality recordings, ect.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what effect (if any) having the mufflers at the end of the exhaust system has vs in the middle?

Dude if I can have my Eco 2015 sound like that, I'd lose my mind.

If someone, comes out with an exhaust note like that for the Eco, I may regret getting the GT! well, not totally but the Ecoboost did have a lot of things going for it in my book.

Can anybody explain to me if its even possible tonged the ECO to sound like this? Haha and I mean, how would the process to, would it be an artificial sound?

Haha. I'll never like the 4 banger exhaust on a Mustang. It's just unnatural.
