Good time to grab an Optic Armor windshield. ;) Save some weight.

Does that $682 come out of your pocket?

Luckily, in FL, we have no fault INS with free windshield replacement. Nothing out of pocket, and illegal to penalize the claim.

I drove my '15 off the dealer lot at 7:30PM. It had a cracked windshield at 7:50 PM. lol Took over 1 month to have it fixed due to lack of availability at that time.

My insurance only covers easy repair, not replacement. The rock hit the bottom passenger side edge behind the wiper blade (it was raining at the time) and over the past two weeks it's now 1/2 across the whole windshield. It was bad enough the next morning that there was no was it could've been "fixed."

I also got a new windsheild too last week, a rock hit my window. Luckily the insurance covered it for free.

if you get a chip repaired the moment the day it happens you likely will barely be able to see the repair, and then won't have to worry about spreading. you can't even wait a full afternoon in the heat in some cases though.
