Hey guys,

I have had my EB MT6 for about 10 days and managed to drive it about 1200 KM already (love the car BTW)... I noticed recently something while driving on the highway - while engine braking in 5h or 4th, I hear very quiet noise that "feels" like coming from the transmission or engine bay. if I even touch the gas pedal, the noise disappears...
The noise is very similar to worn out wheel bearing but is way quieter than that - I can only hear it with radio off. Curious if this is something normal or I should go bug the dealer :)

(sorry if this has already been asked/answered - I searched around but couldn't find anything)

Glad to see you're loving your 'Stang, belleg! Worth a shot to take it over to your dealer to have it checked out. Please send me a PM with the VIN, dealer, your full name, and your phone number.

I had a similar problem - my car was making a metallic rattling sound when engine braking - more noticeable at lower speeds with the windows down and around something (like jersey barriers) to reflect the noise back. I made a thread about it with video so you can hear if this is like what you're hearing:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21957

I took it to the dealer thinking it was a transmission problem, but they finally (after a separate trip to my muffler shop and then back to the dealer) figured out that the noise is actually in the resonator suitcase, and is probably a bad weld.

They were more than willing to replace the suitcase, but I had my axle-backs tack welded on, and they didn't think they would be able to work with it. This past weekend I took a Dremel to the welds and broke both of them free, so now I need to call back to arrange for replacement.

I was amazingly relieved when I found out it was an exhaust issue and not something coming apart in the transmission!
