I like subtle cars. So I never have stripes on my rides.

I don't like the skinny accent stripe that comes with them (unless I had an R, then only Red accent) and I think no stripes is less of a cop magnet.

Someone told me factory stripes are clear coated after application. I'd that true? Seems like removal might be an issue if so...

In my opinion without the stripes it looks like a mustang rent a car.
For a few hundred dollars you can buy some vinyl stripes kit an make your V6 Mustang look like a Shelby.LOL

I agree "stripes make the car look a little too "race-boy".

I didn't want over-the-top or down the front stripes. I decided on the hood stripe only and I wanted something no-one else had.
And I didn't want to pay too much, this hood stripe only cost me $150.

The only strip I considered but couldn't get was the flat black on ShadowBlack,,,,,R option only though. So I went with the clean look all black, and I really like it!!

I did want the car to be a little more subtle, but my biggest gripe was the accent pin stripe colors on the main stripes on non GT350R models.

I was looking at blue or white stripes for my Shadow Black car. Those stripes would have black accents so it wouldn't stand out, but for example I think on DIB, the black stripes w/ white pin stripes makes the car look way to busy. The black stripe alone would look excellent, but again thats my opinion
