Saturday I was having the tint shop check some issues on my PPF (nothing major) when the owner of the auto body shop next door pulled his 488 GTB out of the garage and around to the other parking lot. As he pulled in, the front end looked really odd, very high on the air and as I watched, it slowly settled back to normal, chin-scraping height.

Turns out there's a button you press and it lifts the front end to allow extra clearance for whatever: driveways, speed bumps, etc. Would have loved that feature, especially since I've been moving two 8 foot 2x12s to the end of my driveway for a month, since I bought my Shelby.

I suppose Ferrari owners are above such things.

Check out bridjit curb ramps
Thank you very much. Searching around that brand I think I found one that should work for my particular driveway issue, the conflict between my driveway and the Shelby's splitter.

It's recycled tires, rubber granules, that you mix with a solution and a primer that sticks them together so you can form solid shapes like a ramp or a curb with them

Ferrari owners can afford to pay for such things.....you could buy 1 GT350, 1 GT350R, 1 F250 tow truck and a car trailer for the cost of 1 458.....

When the "entry" level Ferrari is more than 3 times the cost of a GT350, talking California here, yeah I imagine they deserve to have a lift system designed and engineered for the car... :headbonk:

No splitter = permanent problems

Hit those mounting tabs once and the car will never be able to have a splitter installed, need a new front bumper then if you want the splitter on there :eyebulge:

I'm certainly not saying that they don't. I did get a little chuckle picturing a guy rolling up to a mansion with a $100,000 paver driveway and having to get out of his exotic machine to carry some ramps down to the driveway lip...

For the record, I was just trying to be funny.. I absolutely believe in running my R splitter and do, I love seeing it on the car and it just one of the many things I like about the R over my non-R.

I ordered two "boxes" of the curb ramp stuff discussed earlier and did the job on Saturday. Couple things:
+It was very easy to mix. Kinda like concrete or asphalt but with little rubber bits.
+Used one of the 2x12 s that I'd been driving over for reference and to hold shape during install.
+Thought I ordered too much for what I was doing, but came up a little short (pictures in link below).
+Will order one more box to make the driveway apron look finished but what I did does work.
+Not pretty but I won't miss carrying the wood back and forth.
+The different color above the "ramp" is the primer (thought I could cover more than I did).
