I really like the way this looks - especially on the OUTSIDE of the car. Very disappointed this was reported not to be an option. Is this for sure?
On a video I was watching a Ford Exec mentioned there will be a few other "surprises" to come - could this be a removable roof piece like the Corvette? That would be a cool option!

I haven't heard anything about it yet. It would be a shame if they didn't offer it because it would make the car feel even more like a fighter cockpit.

Personally not a problem to me, but for those who like that option, I am bummed for you.

Hopefully no standard removable roof so to keep handling good, but I hope you get something you want :)

Moonroofs and Panoramic roofs were never a big deal for me, so I won't be that upset, but I get there are some people that like it. To me the big panorama roof is just extra weight.

I thought the same thing unit I got my GT500 with the glass roof. It's pretty nice.

Removable ? Gee I hope not .........

Oh nooooo .......... You don't want a lift out roof panel. Aside from the unintended membership into the flying roof club, you have to keep the seals lubricated or it will creek and pop as it flexes. There have been so many threads on this issue on the Corvette forum.

For those of us that like the panorama glass roof lets hope the announce a sunroof as an option then, because I love the glass roof on my '13 GT and would be hard pressed to consider a non glass roof myself

I'd love to know what was behind this. We may simply be a vocal minority. I live in the D/FW, TX area and had no luck finding a '13 with this option. I never could get a good answer from any dealer as to why. Is the car heavier ?

Which is what I will most likely do. Really not fond of coupes.
I thought the new corvettes all had the lift out roof panel?

I was referring to the roof issues on the C6, one of which I still own. And yes, the C7 has a removable roof panel too. As GM just released the teaser images of the C7 Z06, no one knows if it will have one for the first time ever.

The panoramic was definitely a neat option, but I'd settle with a simple moon roof (which I hope will be one of the options still).
