No gps, hotspot or XM services

Hello everyone. I need some help with this issue. So I barely use the sync 3 maps since 95% of the time I connect my iPhone or Android to the car. This morning I had to go somewhere but I had left my phones at home so instead of going back I decided to us the sync 3 navigation. Well I couldn’t because there was a gps sign with a line through it. After a few blocks I decided to turn the car off and back on to see if this would go away but it did not. After some trouble shooting I nice that there’s an issue with the APIM. I disconnected the battery for 1 hour and still nothing. I check satellite positions and I get nothing. I would hate to take it to the dealer but if that’s my last option than I guess I will. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be the issue? Or what other trouble shooting I could do?

Its a 2021 so there's warranty but I hate taking it to them as they always do some stupid S**t.

I believe the GPS is in the trunk on the left side, take a look to see if its plugged in.

I am presuming that you did a Sync 3 master reset. Also in the time you’ve had the car do you recall the Nav screen showing on your home screen on startup?

yes but since I started using the phone I always leave it on audio

Without being able to troubleshoot your car it's a difficult call to make. If everything is setup properly then something may have failed. The antenna, a connector, the APIM. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to have it looked at by your dealer. Or as a possible alternative, a good auto repair shop that does electronic/audio issues and knows their way around a Mustang.

By the way, just for future reference, electronics is probably the #1 reason buyers opt for the Ford ESP extended warranty.

If this doesn't work then consider pulling the battery cable for a short time and see if you system resets.
