If I have to can I drive without my aftermarket DP for a few days? Just commuting to work. Will it damage anything?

Well to answer your question, it won't directly harm your engine.

That being said, there's no way you'll be able to drive without a dp/exhaust at all :headbonk:

If you can even stand the amount of noise that will get into the cabin (Google straight pipe exhaust if you want and idea, yours will be a bit worst), the safety issue of having exhaust leak in front of the passenger compartment is a bad idea in itself. Also, your engine will throw a few CEL for having the sensors disconnected and might have trouble running well.

TL;DR Dont do it.

1. Noise
2. CO Poisoning
3. CELs (Lesser issue)

I decided to steal my wife's car for tomorrow. But can somebody recommend a quick fix until I can order the bolts that connect my new stock turbo to my ATP down pipe? A flex pipe? Bolts from the hardware store?

What do the bolts look like? A bolt is just a bolt, ask your vendor for the specs and buy some that fit those at your local bolt store.

Frogger, I'm taking it you did not order new studs with the new turbo, if you still have the old turbo the studs should come out, if you don't you will have to figure out what size and type of stud screws into the exh housing. If you don't have it figured out by tomorrow after noon, I'll pull one of mine off and check for you. A bolt will work fine as a temp fix, just make sure you get a good grade bolt.
If you still have the nuts off the old turbo bring those into a good hardware store to match up a bolt or if they have them studs.

What? no you cannot drive with no down pipe, you will have 700+ degree exhaust blowing right at the fire wall from the turbo, your under hood temps will be insane and you will probably destroy any plastic/wiring on the right side of the motor,
the whole idea is just insane!

Yeah, driving without a downpipe is definitely going to screw some stuff up. For those saying it might cause some CELs, yeah it'll cause some BIG ones. Without an upstream O2 sensor reading, the car would run like pure garbage. Not to mention the exhaust blazing out and hitting the firewall will be well over 700°. And you'd probably be lucky to make it to work before you passed out from the aforementioned exhaust gas poisoning.

This would be akin to one of those 'natural selection' ideas, to say the least.

is this thread serious?

NO you cannot drive your vehicle without a downpipe.

not to mention that poisonous exhaust will seep into the cabin and start to melt your brain.

As stated above, extremely hot exhaust temps will begin to melt components of your engine bay, especially after 20 minutes. Go down to your local hardware store and explain what you need and they'll get you set up.

You 4 cyl guys...I swear. :D
