No digital speed readout?

Picked up my ecoboost premium auto non pp about two weeks ago. I've already logged almost 1500 miles on it, and figured out most of everything this car offers, even got the garage button to open my apartment gate, but I can not find a digital speedometer anywhere in the system. It has a digital speed when I set the cruise control but I would just like to look down and see my speed at any given time. Anyone have any info on this? Has it ever been an option in any other mustang?

On at least my model year S197, there is a way to do it, but it's incredibly difficult and time consuming -- it involves going into the computer's system diagnostics and scrolling through a billion different things before you finally found it, and then driving off without hitting any buttons that could get you out of the system diagnostic mode. I don't remember the exact procedure, but it was really obnoxious and I only tried it once.

This is one of my biggest disappointments in the new 2015 model. I even called Ford Engineering months ago.

All the info is available. I believe a digital speedometer would be more usefull than some of the other displays.

I hope someone would create an "ap" or mod to provide this.

Hold down left Ok button while starting the car. Let go when you see the engineering mode on. It has the digital speedo

I am aware of the "Engineering Mode"

I am saying why not a "REAL" digital speedo in the center display like Battery Voltage, etc.

My 2014 GMC Sierra has a beutiful digital speedo and I use it all the time.

Certainly more than Acceleration forces, air to fuel ratio, etc.

My wife's new car has a configurable TFT display for the dash. You can set it to digital or analog with different fonts for the speedo.

She likes the digital speedo I find it very distracting and not as easy to keep track of your speed as an analog gauge.

While I can keep track of my speed with an analog speedo without taking my eyes off the road with the digital I have to look at it see the speed. Also, since the digital numbers are in my peripheral vision a single mph change draws my attention away from the road and this is why i don't like a digital speedo.

Wow! 1150 RPM's at 63 mph? No wonder the fuel economy is so good on the C 7's.

Very cool. Though probably pretty useless on a sunny day. Little annoying you have to constantly throw your phone up there but it's neat.

Too bad you have to use your SmartPhone or an external GPS unit to see digital speed !!

There's lots of heads up displays that use the OBD port on ebay. They start around $40. No idea how well they work, though.
