I just placed an order for an Ngauge and Lund tune through Beefcake. According to the tracking info I received, the device should arrive tomorrow, but I don’t' expect I'll have the tune for another week or so. I've done my best to read up on how to use the device, but haven't found much. Hopefully that’s a good thing and the Ngauge is just easy to use. I've had some bad experiences messing with tunes on an unrelated platform so I'm a little gun shy in messing with this stuff, and just want to make sure I don't screw anything up.
First, I assume I can go ahead and get the Ngauge plugged in and use it to monitor some things before the new tune is loaded, right? I'm curious to see what kind of knockR readings and total timing the car sees on the stock tune just to compare to the Lund tune. Second…once I get the emailed tune from Lund and load it to the device…do I need to take any extra steps to save the stock tune? I read their user guide and it doesn't mention anything about this so I assume it's all done at the same time as the tune is loaded. If this is the case…will it be obvious how to switch back to the stock tune if I ever need to? I know the Ngauge can store several tunes. I'm hoping this is where the stock tune is saved as well. Any additional tips and tricks for using the gauge or loading tunes?
Thanks
