I just slapped on a Vortech to my ‘20 GT and I like the look of the NGauge as a gauge (in the ac vent) to get readings. Now, my question is: since I am not going to use it for tuning purposes, do I still need an unmarried NGauge if I am only going to be using it as a gauge to read things knock, lambda, etc.

I had a Ngauge on my S197. I tuned with it and left it connected for the gauges all the time, I don't see an issue.

I believe it does have to be unmarried. If I’m not mistaken you get three unlocks for an Ngauge if you could find one used. I know that’s what Lund does but I’m not sure about others.

I just wanna be 100% sure, seeing as a married one can be found cheaper and I only want it for readings.

I guess I misunderstood your question. I think it still works but I am sure someone here can give you that answer.

I was looking for similar gauges and found this below, kind of interesting.

I don't know anything about that site ^ . LCD gauge like that would be pretty cool. If anyone has any info on this one or others like it.

I have an nguage that I bought off here. It was married to another vehicle but works fine for normal guage/monitoring. You just can't tune with it.

To double down, a married nGauge is okay for logging, using it for gauges, crank relearns, KAM resets, and code reading/clearning. ONLY for flashing does it need to be married.

What are people usually displaying with these? I usually have knockr, cat temp and lambda on the screen. Is there anything else I should monitor?
