It's tasteful. Assuming you're actually boosted of course :)

Any of these emblems - whatever they say - come to close to imitating Shelby badges - for me. Shape / size is identical, red color (like a Shelby R) often too.

Nothing tasteful about it. Very close to putting an M or AMG badge on regular Merc or BMW.

Close really doesn’t count. Shelby doesn’t have a patent on rectangular red badges. Now if it said Shelby on it that’s another matter. But just size, color, & shape doesn’t make it less tasteful.

I feel the exact same way about those stupid aftermarket GT350/500 bumpers.

Do you have one or what ? Who else have badges like that ? Putting red badge on ecoboost is laughable IMHO but Mustang community isn't exactly known for tasteful mods (or to be blunt - exact opposite) but I personally do not care and it doesn't bother me. Just think that all of the non-performance mods are pretty stupid. Side scoops and GT500 bumpers are among the worst - again - for me.

Yeah, anyone who does ANYTHING cosmetic to their car is just a boy-racer/ricer :giggle:
is washing the car considered a mod? lol

but seriously... the only "cosmetic" thing I want to do is the digital cluster and sync 3... no grills, no wheels, no body kits, no aftermarket lights.... nothing! i had a mechanic here with a V6 s550 with wheels, big spoiler, all the "fast looking car" mods, loud af also... and i loved every single time i took him to gapville because he wanted to race me to try his new "mods"

I don't mind cosmetic mods, I've done a couple to mine.
What gets me are the ones that make it look like something it's not. That smacks of poser to me. Slap a 5.0 badge on an EB, GT500 hood/bumper on a stock GT, change the Sync screen to a Bullitt, whatever. It's still not on of those and no amount of changes is going to make it so. Be happy with what you have or individualize it but don't copy something it's not.
That's me, your opinions may vary.

Okay, a Ford Performance deck lid panel; that's why Ford makes them, so you can put them on your Mustang. Doesn't matter if it's a GT or a ecoboost.
Boosted emblem, well if it is, then why not.
I'd put parts from other Mustangs on mine if it would improve performance in some way. I just wouldn't change the badging on mine, but that's just me.
After all, the Mustang is one of the most modified cars buy it's owners.

Current gen Mustangs are in a unique place. You have people of all ages that appreciate and enjoy the S550 platform. Teenagers, young adults, seniors, the list goes on. Thats what makes this car so special.

My father is in his 70s and absolutely hates modifications and thinks all cars should be stock. I cant stand stock cars, and a big reason I bought my mustang was the ability to add tasteful mods and really make it my own. His stock C7 has such an insane ugly wheel gap I cringe anytime I look at it, but he also cringes at my lowered mustang.

Generation gaps are real. It is what it is.

Washing is purely cosmetic, yes :giggle: . Wheels however, are a performance mod. The factory wheel s(with the exception of the CF wheels) are incredibly heavy in comparison to aftermarket options. Reducing unsprung weight will improve performance in all driving situations.
if people buy good wheels... 90% of wheels you see in the street are cheap aftermarket options with some westlake/lionheart/chingchong tires.... i'm looking at you dodge charger owners lmao...

in my case, i have the 50th anniversary wheels, and i have an extra set of cobra replicas for the rear tires for racing purposes. But i agree with you, my sti has rpf1 wheels and those are great wheels

I think that's silly.

I hate up badging too, but this clearly isn't up badging. They also have these in many different colors. If they put a Shelby badge on there, then yeah..i hate that. But if they want to put something like this, where it normally even says "ecoboost" I don't see why it matters. Do you also hate when people put "3.7" badges on their v6?

@IamCDNJosh
I hate when people have the gt350/500 bumper and it says Shelby or gt350/gt500, but if it doesn't have any of that on there..i don't disagree with it. Sadly there aren't a lot of good looking aftermarket bumpers to choose between. Naturally people will choose the ones that they think looks best, which turns out to be the gt350/gt500 replica bumpers. I don't have one of these bumpers or hoods, but I have considered them due to the lack of other ones that I believe look decent. More so the bumpers than the hoods. I don't personally care for the stock GT hood.

You have your opinion, but I don't consider this imitating or up badging at all. I have to agree with @Bikeman315 here
