Hi guys

So, I have a question. I purchased my GT350 in November of last year. One of the best decisions I've ever made.. I am needing to replace the stripes however. The reasons, one because a bird pooped on one of my stripes the second day I had it.. I waited too long to clean it off and it smeared the vinyl(very annoying, I didn't realize it had to be cleaned so quickly until I started reading this forum).

Two, I was giving the car a wash with the pressure washer and a small piece of vinyl peeled up and won't go back down.

My first question is, are these stripes covered by warranty? If not, I am heavily considering some aftermarket stripes and am open to many different color combos. The current stripes I have are the black with the white pinstripe, and my particular vehicle is race red with the black roof. While I do like these OEM stripes, something about the white pinstripe just puts me off. I like it, just not in LOVE with it.

I was wondering if any of you with race red GT350's or Mustangs in general had put aftermarket stripes on, and which company you'd suggest going with? Also the color. I was thinking the gunmetal grey might look great with my color combo? Does anyone have any pictures of theirs? The Ford OEM stripes are just so expensive, and I don't want to have to replace them again. Painting them on wouldn't be an option due to cost.

Please let me know what you guys think, attached is a picture of the car!

Sucks about the bird strike. We have all been there.

What about blue stripes? Make it a Superman car.

I would avoid using a pressure washer on any car (with or without stripes). I am not aware of any detailer who would endorse that.

Just use a 30 degree nozzle and a low pressure setting. Don't hold it an inch away trying to get off that bug. Mine has a low that is about half the high setting (1200 or 1400 psi, something like that). Makes great foam out of the foam cannon.

They won't cover birdshit even if the stripes were part of the warrantied items.

I used big worm grafix on mine to switch my gloss for satin.
What exact combo did you go with? Pondering on doing the same for my Lightning Blue...

Oh NO! Lol....The white Pinstripes are precisely what sets ours off. One other reason why I don't like the oem striping on new GT500; lacks pinstripes.

You gotta have a custom vinyl shop around Indy, check them out first for repair or replacement. You will get a better job at a lower cost with a lot more color options.
We have a great source here near Chicago, the only thing I would consider for my 2016.

Mate Black and Satin Dark Silver.

From a distance the dark silver doesn't pop too much, but up close it's a nice touch.

Thanks for the close up pic! Yeah, dig the matte/satin R stripes but dont want to clone the R look. The dark silver matches the 350 badging, but im also thinking of going with something else, maybe a lime green accent stripe or so....
