New s550 owner, recommendations on wheels?

The last thing is I also want to lower the car a bit so should I do that first, or after wheels and tires? And any magneride springs you guys recommend?

run 20" rims and you won't need to lower.
Because there will be less wheel gap.

You can run whatever springs you want, but frankly you want to stay less than 1" drop, so the BMR/Steeda min-drop springs or at most Steeda dual-rates with their 0.75" drop. Personally i'd leave the rear springs (and height) the hell alone, and run a front spring that dropped 0.5" but increased rate to ~350. And then replacing the front MR struts with SKU from Mach1.

But all of the above is academic until you do the basics of IRS fixturing and LCA bearing

Just to clarify, what’s wrong with dropping a whole inch, or even 1.2 for that matter? Car already has magneride so why switch in Mach 1 parts as well?

I'm a fan of @Apex Wheels, super nice, well-made and they have different constructions to meet your budget whatever it may be. I have the VS-5RS.

because the standard Magride doesn't damp anywhere near enough. The machanicals are deficient. It can't be fixed with programming.

many threads already discussing that. the 10 second summary = because it screws with geometry and you need/should fix it which entails a decent pile of parts.
