Hi All,

Pleased to finally be able to say that I will be picking up my 2015 GT at the end of January :D

It's been a long wait - I put the deposit down exactly a year ago - and, as others have found, the communication from Ford dealer has been consistently rubbish! :frusty:

So, the wait is nearly over - and I've already been in touch with the team at Bill Shepherd to talk about the wanted mods (cat back exhaust, air intake, lowering and wheel spacers, rear deck lid GT delete to start with).

Will post some piccies once I have the car and start on the upgrades

I've gone for the Shadow Black with the Custom Pack; though I am already talking with Bill Shepherd about wheel updates ;)

I too work in Newbury - so may well see you around

Welcome Mark!

Congrats on the car................I live in Newbury and organise the local Mustang meets (3rd Saturday of each month). It'd be great to see you and the Mustang at one of them if you can make it :)

Have a rev match at the lights you two!

Congratulations on the future car, looking forward to the pics! Surprised you didn't stick with the black wheels on shadow black. Have you considered 'subtle' stripes on the car? IE) Satin or Matte black stripes on it, they're so subtle or 'sleeper' as the term is they actually look sick!

Yup, some buyers remorse and worry on the nickle wheels. Didn't really consider this when I placed the deposit last January - it was more of "yes please, here's my money.....!:D

Will consider stripes.... interestingly when I placed the deposit, there was no option available. Of course I never was contacted again by Ford Dealer to confirm the options before the car was fixed for production. Excellent comms from Ford is the norm, as we all have learned.

Still, there is a good team in Thatcham that does wrap - so I can talk with them - as well as the possible stripes, carbon fibre look on some components may be the way to go..... many many possibilities at this stage!

Looks great in black... I was going to go with black initially, then saw the guard. Decisions, decisions...

Yep, i'd get the stripes done by vinyl wrappers anyway, usually cheaper, and you get a bigger selection of colours/finishes/styles. that fords variant.
Carbon fibre components... Just wait till my car comes, i've already got certain things in place that will be CF (And i'm keeping that all under wraps at the moment). I'll release pics when car comes and is complete.

Doesn't look too bad with the square plates. Tempted to get a craig's custom plate bracket for the front :)

Nice - not long to go!

Make sure you drive it stock for a while before you commit to any mods...!
