Hello all, didn't know which thread to post in so thought I would start another new one :)

May have been covered in another post but haven't seen anyone mention it yet - the small pop out tray just to the right of the steering wheel, is that supposed to open? Mine doesn't..was hoping to keep my change in there.

For those that have mounted number plates without using the ghastly Ford brackets - where did you get the plates from & how are they fixed to the bumper?

That's all for now!

Well being in the US, that tray is on my left and it does slide out toward the driver. Just push it in and it should spring back towards you. I use it to store my sunglasses. As for the plates, I don't have the front plate on my car, I don't like the way it looks with it. However I have seen some guys use the "Sto-n-Sho" bracket for easy mounting / removing from front bumper. It mounts under the front bumper with 3M double side stick tape. Hope this helps.

I've ordered a self-adhesive plate for mine. The dealer plates are just going to be tacked on with a minimal amount of tape for easy removal when I have a clear film applied to the front and then the plate is going on top of that.

I'll be able to tell you tomorrow about the tray.;)

As above with tray, yes it should come out.

With number plates, just mounted normal plates on bumper with 3m tape.

Mine have been done in the same way as Steve's - to be honest I don't think it is ideal.

The bumper curve is putting a lot of pressure on the 3M so it is only a matter of time before the plate pings off.

I'm going to look into a sticker number plate - have seen some of the youtubers get them for their lambo's etc.

Thanks guys, weird about my sun glass tray thing - it does click in but then doesn't pop out

My dealership offered a courtesy check which I am taking them up on at the weekend, so will get them to have a look at it then.

They also offered a full valet which I'm in 2 minds about - think I would prefer to do it myself!

Mine was only meant to be temporary while I decided what to do. Now that they will on, I may just leave them and see what happens. I am considering getting one of these sto and sho brackets from the states so I can remove when I take it to car shows etc. i HATE front plates!

Sunglasses holder - when you push in it springs out a little, but mine only springs out about 0.5mm, so you have you use your fingernail to pry out.

Plates - I've ended up with multiple plates but decided the best option is to use an aluminium (not presssed) plate as they are thinner, lighter and easy to bend. Or you could use a heat gun to bend an acrylic plate I suppose. Alu plates: www.number1plates.com/aluminium-car-number-plates

I preferred to use 3M 'dual lock' rather than pads. If you accidentally position slightly wonky, you can just pull off and re-position. You also effectively get 'sto n show' for photoshoots, meets etc. For me, it was slightly less scary than just using the 3M VHB directly, which is described as 'permanent'. I've just used two 2cm square pieces of 'dual lock', but if doing again, I'd use the circular ones.

I've ordered one from here: http://www.1st4stickers.com/reflective-self-adhesive-number-plates---stick-on-558-p.asp

Will let you know what it's like when it turns up.
