Ford has stated it will first appear in 2016 models and that there is no upgrade path for version 2.x. It would require hardware changes since its more than just a software update.

I figured. Kinda sucks IMO to get a GT350 tech pack with the old sync. Oh well, if I'm lucky enough to snag a 15 I guess I'll suffer through it.

Leaked order guide referenced Sync 3, IIRC. Not sure how accurate it is given some of the other items in there, but I believe it will get Sync 3, no matter which model year it is sold as.

The 2016 Fusion is already out and the 16' Explorer is coming in the summer and neither have Sync 3. Maybe the downfall of owning a 15 GT350 (if there is one) will be MFT.

These vibration issues go back a long way. I'd say 1.5+ yrs. I doubt the car would be this close to production if they were still working on vibration problems. They likely would have cancelled Voodoo and gone a different direction long before they ever announced the car.

Agreed, it's way too late in the game to be dealing with something like that. The Voodoo would have been shelved if that was an issue.

Are you getting one? I spoke with the sales manager at my local dealership today, told him I'd be looking to buy next summer (2016). We shook on it and I'm set.

That was my thinking as well, if you got one of the ones released this MY you'd probably get MFT. Not saying that's a bad thing at all, I like MFT.

If the 15 gt-350 doesn't have sync 3 then id gladly wait for the 16 MY. Never liked the current system and the new one reminds my of chryslers uconnect system that I'm a big fan of. But it would make more sense for them to just go ahead and put sync 3 in.

No, SYNC 3 is showing in the 2016 Shelby order banks (as well as an option to go with SYNC 2), but the 2015 Shelby order banks only show SYNC 2.

I'm not quite sure of the secrecy behind all of this. I mean, ok hp tq price weight is all good, but some of these things don't need to be a secret. Some of the information currently being withheld is probably known by the rival brands. Who cares! Chevy is following suit with the Camaro trying to reinvent the enthusiasm for it. People don't think Ford knows what Chevys got? Yeah right. It's just a mind game for the customer.
