My childhood friend works for a group that owns many dealerships and one of them is a Ford. His friend runs the Ford dealership and I am 1st in line for an order. They checked a few weeks ago and nothing new, but now I'll have him check again to see what is updated in the computer.

They can look in the old ordering system or the new one, but the old system shows more info. That's all I can tell you here publicly, but that should be enough info for your friend to go on.

I've heard from at least two sources (in person or in print) that there are engine vibration issues they are trying to resolve. I'm beginning to think this may be the hold up with the car in general. If you think about how compressed the schedule is getting with regard to ordering guide, pricing, and '15 & '16 production, there must be a technical issue they are trying to resolve. I don't think package content or pricing would hold things up like this.

Finally, there seems to be a lot more street sightings, so maybe they have sorted things out and are just doing proof testing with a preproduction run. I hope that's the case and they release the ordering guide with pricing TODAY!

These vibration issues go back a long way. I'd say 1.5+ yrs. I doubt the car would be this close to production if they were still working on vibration problems. They likely would have cancelled Voodoo and gone a different direction long before they ever announced the car.

Agreed, it's way too late in the game to be dealing with something like that. The Voodoo would have been shelved if that was an issue.

I also don't think there is a delay... they are moving right along as planned and on schedule.

Anything sooner than 2016 is just a bonus for us.

^Could have been trying to throw things a bit off track. NVH issues for the most part should have been sorted out by now. If anything its tweaking.

Or like I said just trying to throw out crumbs to lead us down another path.

Ford is currently testing and QCing based on the results of this tests Ford will determine if the vehicle is 15 or 16 MY.

Ford has stated it will first appear in 2016 models and that there is no upgrade path for version 2.x. It would require hardware changes since its more than just a software update.
