X-plan can be taken at time of delivery as well. So long as the dealer honors it you won't need to change your order for it.

Nice! You ordered my car with a few more options. Do with it what you will but X-Plan is: $35536 and that $700 dealer fee is BS. X-Plan dealers can only charge you a $100 Doc Fee. You have plenty of time before it's built to make them sharpen the pencil.

Edit: I didn't mean to bum you out, it's still a decent price for the car, but that Dealer Fee is immoral IMO. Get them to move on the fee and it's a solid deal as is.
Tim,

What is the link to the mustang build page that X-Plan can be used on it?

I gave the dealer my Pin and told them that I wanted X-plan pricing, waiting to see what they say.

They agreed on the X-plan pricing. My salesman is out today and said he will have it updated tomorrow when he gets back in.

He said they optimistic that it should be in the first week of October. Keeping fingers crossed.

Scroll through the "trying to place an order" thread a few down from this one. I posted a step by step instruction.

From what I have read, X-plan only reduces the price by about $200(assuming my car is $40k). Am i right about this?

From MSRP for example, the car I ordered is $37800 MSRP. With X-plan its $35536. Thats a savings of $2264...

See Below, Build it and then go build it at MSRP on Fords regular site.

https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/vehicles/pricing.do

Enter MC405
Click on Pricing and Incentives
Select Mustang
Select Build and Price under shopping tools
Click on the blue link that says change vehicle
Scroll down to Future Vehicles: '15 Mustang
Build away!

Edit: Sorry I half-assed read your question. You will receive a hard card in the mail with your member #. You(anyone for that matter) can build and price X-Plan just by logging into the partner site. When your car comes in you take your pin number which you can generate at anytime from the same home page above, your hard card which is proof of being X-Plan eligible. Make sure you mention you are a Ford Partner/ X-Plan (so they know you won't be a financial home run) when you speak with dealer. There is a long document on this site, explaining the Partner Plan, rules the dealer needs to follow, rules you need to follow. Your membership also includes two MCA quarter window stickers and a high production quality magazine.

$2767 on a loaded GT, slightly more that $200.

BTW, that X-plan price that pulls up on that. Is that just the invoice or is that Invoice minus (0.4% of Invoice) + $275 Dealer Fee?

Does this look better? The salesman said "The floormats are broken out as a line item because these can only be ordered for fleet deals, but we are including them. We will just get them from the parts department when you new Mustang arrives. It throws the numbers off slightly, but the XPlan price is $35,536.
Also - If there are any rebates/incentives when the car is delivered, you will be eligible for those as well."
