Hi All... after lusting after the Race Red/white striped 2019 GT350 sitting at my dealer's lot for 8+ months, I finally pulled the trigger and made it mine just after Christmas (28 December)... LOVE IT! Would love to be able to buy the "gurney flap" for it, but from what I've been reading, seems that's not possible. Is it?

Congratulations great looking combo.

I'm sure someone will repop that gurney flap soon if Ford won't sell it.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
You chose the right color/stripe combo. The fastest and why it’s called race red. Congrats!!

Read up on the flap. If your not doing high speed tracking, it seems your just going to lose gas mileage. If I recall, they said if you corner OVER 75 mph, then add flap

You can buy the Gurney Flap from ford. I havent seen a big reduction in mpg so far with it on.

Great car. I personally don't think the gurney flap looks good at all unless it's being use on a track. To each their own though!

I was thinking I was the only one who did not like it. Guess we are still the minority.

My 2 cents, I love mine and have driven with it on and off and I don't notice any difference in gas mileage but then I don't care either. I try to drive over 80 as often as I can get away with it and I must say the car is planted to the ground.

Welcome! You do you. If you like something enjoy it. I am keeping the mods minimal on mine.

Congrats on new toy!. Gurney flap increase down-force(good). But creates more drag which increase in fuel consumption. It's a trade off situation between look and practicality.

I'm indifferent about the look. As someone who actually tracks though, I'd take it off when on the streets but that's just me exactly because of drag reasons. Just my position.

A bunch
From what I've heard from interviews with ford engineers (can't remember which video), the gurney flap will reduce MPG by about 2mpg when driving on the highway around 80mph. The gurney flap adds about 80 lbs of downward force when on the track...I'm guessing at 70mph and faster. For reference with the gurney flap installed on the 2019-2020 Swing, more downforce is generated with that setup than the wing on the gt350R. I think it was something like 305 lbs of force total vs 260 lbs with the 350R wing.

Heres an aftermarket alternative in carbon fiber: https://www.vividracing.com/-p-1527...MI45G-y5mq5wIVUPDACh1pWwTsEAQYAyABEgKr6vD_BwE
