Whatever I need
I recently traded my '12 135 for an ordered '16 GT. I have a '15 EB that I drive when I am in FL (DD f/work) every other month. I noticed that I was having a hard time adjusting to the 135 when back home in WI; heavy steering, annoying 2-step push button start and an inferior ride/handling trade off.

I am a creature of habit, and when I like a car I am all in. I have had 3 different 135s since 2008. I told myself the day the Mustang has a chassis as good as a BMW, I am going for it. Well, its actually better in alot of ways and still very affordable.

Between the EB and GT, the EB is more German than the GT; being easier to drive, lighter on the nose and kind of an overachiever. The GT on the other hand is nearing traditional Corvette levels of performance, and never lets you forget it. The 3.73 6M demands all of your focus to drive smoothly.

I am still getting used to the GT, but it was the right move in terms of replacing the 135; it offers great value for the money, a pounding factory sound system (Pantera: Shedding Skin on level 20 is muy bein...) and an intense drivetrain makes it special every time.

Take the clutch assist spring out or get the steeda one and you'll enjoy driving it that much more. There's a few threads in the transmission and drivetrain subforum.

I didn't go with the 401A mainly because the Shaker System is awful. I will put the $1,700 into an aftermarket system that will put it to shame and probably will have a few hundred left over.

i was thinking the same thing, maybe he has the shaker with the sub
The Shaker system with the sub is still terrible. Manufacturers rarely put good audio systems in their vehicles. Aftermarket solutions are always better.

What pounding factory sound system?
12 speaker with sub. I admit I was apprehensive about going with this (and blis) since most seemed to feel it was shite. I am really glad I did though; sync 3 is quick and easy, and so far like I orignally posted, it pounds for a factory system. I have 2x10" Kicker CompR enclosure, w/600wX2 RMS amp in my '15 EB with the base stereo, and the Shaker is far and away superior. And I didn't give up much trunk space...

My '04 Lightning audio system is all mid/high end aftermarket (from 9+ yrs ago) and yes it sounds better, but I am happy and surprised by the easy interface and overall sound of the factory 12 speaker and don't feel I need to change a thing there, unlike the muffled exhaust, and overtly compliant/soft suspension.

I won't go as far as saying the shaker system is terrible. IMO, it does the job for me. I'm a part time musician and I think the shaker sounds fine.

And yes, we should all know that you can buy aftermarket audio that sounds better but the shaker is decent, IMO.

When I was younger and enjoyed pissing money away on audio systems.... I've built some killer systems using Hifonics amps, Diamond audio subs, and Diamonds full range. Now that I'm older, I'm not really that concerned with crawling around my car and pulling interior panels, and building sub boxes just to upgrade any audio systems. The ROI is a fail if you ask me... because I've never pulled a system before selling my previous rides - maybe some of you guys are more ambitious than me but once I install a system it's there forever. lol I have better things to do and spend my money on than audio systems.

Also, lets not for get 401a comes with not only the sound system but:
Driver’s seat, mirrors, and ambient lighting with memory feature
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert

It's not the be all to end all but they are nice features that I personally like.
