I'm torn between the Ford Racing Sport and Borla S-Type. I like a deep sound with some rasp. On some of the videos, the FRPP sounds raspy with no bass. Can someone give their input on how deep the FRPP actually sounds in person?
Here are two videos from my dash cam when I had the FRPP Touring on my 2015 GTPP. It's louder in person but this gives you an idea inside the car. With the windows up you hear the bass of the mufflers more than in these videos.

that thread has a good vid of the deep sounds
I was almost set on the Borla S type until I saw the video in that thread and saw robb's videos. To me, the rasp in the FRPP is what makes the exhaust sound so aggressive. The S Type sounds deeper, but with less rasp, it sounds less menacing (my opinion). My only concern about the FRPP sport was that it wouldn't be deep enough, which the videos disproved (not sure at high RPMs though). I just can't seem to make up my mind, and it doesn't help the my speakers distort a lot of the high revving FRPP videos.

as an FRPP Sport owner, i'd go with Borla S or ATAK myself.

edit: it's not loud enough for me anymore. i'm coming from a 2011 WRX that had a full catless turboback exhaust and an external wastegate

I understand ATAK, but is the Borla S Type really louder than the FRPP Sport?
On a side note.. why is it that no Borla S Type owners want to take videos of normal driving speeds? I've seen videos of FRPP cars driving around with low revs, but Borla S is either idle, no load, or WOT.

probably because everyone that wanted an exhaust already bought an FRPP and didn't wait for the borla S. i'm sure you'll see more vids on it over time.

i'm not saying im getting the borla S now, but given all the options that are available now (not when i got my FRPP Sport back in december), i'd go with borla s or atak depending on how loud you want it.

i may swap out the sport axle backs with atak axle backs eventually. ive already called borla and they said it should be a straight swap

CJ Pony Parts had a pretty good video of the s type and atak on youtube showing the sound at driving speeds in and out of the cabin.

I have the FRPP Sports and the car has no drone. In fact the car is pretty quiet when cruising at 80mph. its not loud at all.

agreed. the sport is not as loud as i'd like it to be, hence the reason i wanna swap the sport mufflers out for ATAK

The ATAK sounds a crappy motorcycle with no baffle, sorry but that's my opinion.

There is no way you have the 3.73s with no drone at all over 70. By 80 I have to even turn the radio up an extra few notches to be heard over the drone. Not complaining I actually enjoy it but it is definitely there and by no means subtle.

That's not necessarily drone, that's just a loud exhaust.

I feel like the 3.73's would be like putting the car in Sport Mode........that's when mine picks up the volume.

80mph/2300ish rpm, SW catless, FRPP Touring and you definitely hear the exhaust, but not what I consider drone by any means. FRPP Sport alone was even quieter.
