I just got my new Car and Driver Magazine today. The cover article was AMERICAN HEROS featured the tried and true Mustang vs Camaro vs Challenger. C&D had the Mustang winning handily.
The mustang hit the quarter in 13.0 vs 12.9 for the other two. The Stang did have a trap speed of 113 which tied the Scat Pack and beat the Camaro by 2 mpg. Interestingly the Mustang was the fastest to 150 besting the Camaro by 4.8 sec and the Challenger by 1.6 sec....
The gist of the story was that while the Camaro was a better TRACK CAR, it beat you up too much to live with. The Mustang was the better ROAD CAR....
