Believe it or not the Roush, or for that matter any TVS based 2.3L screams as loud as whipple with the Whine mod.
Yeah I've seen this and thought about it.. I can hear my blower a little bit inside especially up high I have 79mm pulley I also have a bunch of heat resistant hose laying around from some oil coolers I made, and a few big AN fittings so I might make one considering, 130 bucks for a tube I can make with the some materials I have just laying here, I might as well heck I payed that for some fittings a while back might as well use them good videos buddy

I've done a lot of testing on this with sound decibel reader and external and internal mics to record whine. Removal of the hood liner and Airbox lid help a little but not much even when pulled down. Box lid off works on the Dyno for power with hood open, but is a bad idea for street car with hood closed, just too much heat getting sucked in. Whine is projected forward, so stand in front or a mic will pick up whine mounted on the hood, just doesn't transfer inside much without whine mod.

loud outside 3rd gear WOT pass outside pickup. Whipple here, but you get the idea.

Inside before and after Whine mod. And this car has very loud exhaust.

Thanks man this was helpful I’ll most likely end up doing this mod for
Sure. Thanks for
The research

So I made one of these sound tubes the part I acquired from a buddy was not the fostersc it as one he made using the fitting I had, put one together from the airbox to the firewall slight whistle over 2500 but not what I was expecting Sean actually contacted me we talked for about 15 minutes he is a great person and gave me a great deal on his well developed product I will be getting his stage 4 kit next month thank you guys for the videos.. the diaphragm and high quality of this product is a easy decision for the price he gave me.. I think my AN fitting will stay on oil cooler and trans cooler fitments

I see they put on a catch can. I would leave the intake closed. I have the upgraded Phase 2 by Roush. Other mods, you might want bigger tires in the rear or coilovers, you'll notice a big improvement in handling.

I got rid of my catch can that recirculated back to the Whipple for this reason. Always made a mess inside regardless of catch can used. The last one I took off was a UPR and now run vented both valve covers to a large vented tank with breathers. Not that I was seeing noticeable knock, but never sat well with me seeing the film that accumulates inside. Catch can system only take out so much and the rest gets by.
