Hello.

New here. I found a dealer in Miami that told me that they had an allocation at MSRP. I put a 1k dollars deposit on 04/14/21. I have no idea how long a Ford car like this would take to be built and delivered. The dealership said 6 weeks, I doubt that. I hope is not one year or more like my C8.

Does Ford prioritize the GT500 built orders?

Thanks.

Based on the experiences we have had here, 6 weeks seems really unlikely. I ordered 1/18 and expect delivery this week. 3 months seems to be about the norm. That was prior to the current chip shortage though.

For those of you who have placed orders and are waiting on a VIN, send me a PM with the following information and I will let you know when I run across your VIN.
This information will not be posted on any website, it will be added to a special file on my personal computer.

Order Number:
Order Date:
Dealers Name:
City and State:
I have a VIN # and an order #, but I’m skeptical that the order number is correct. I doesn’t work in the vehicle tracking site.

The order number is case sensitive, example: x001 is not the same as X001. Make sure you capitalize all the letters and make sure the numbers are correct, "O" (Oh) is not the same as "0" (zero).

All the Mustangs are produced on the same assembly line, a 4 cylinder has the same priority as a a Shelby once it is on the line.. On the assembly line a Shelby is just another Mustang.

As it stands now, the plant will be closed for production until at least May 17, 2021 due to the chip shortage. This date has already been changed 3 times and it it could be changed again. We will just have to sit back and wait it out.

Oh, I see.
I read this from Ford Authority:

"The Flat Rock Assembly Plant, where the Ford Mustang is produced, as well as the Chicago Assembly Plant, which builds the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator, have been shut down since the week of April 12th, while the Kansas City Assembly Plant, which builds the Ford F-150 and Ford Transit, has been idle since the week of April 19th."

If you can send me a PM with the last 4 numbers of your VIN, I will see what I can do and get back to you.

I like to disassemble things.
On the verge of joining this club! Just heard from the dealer, my car just arrived. My first pic they took. I’ll have more soon.
