I am told today that Ford will limit 2021 MY Shelby GT500 production to 2500-3000 units due to an "industry-wide" ECM Semi-Conductor Chip shortage.

Ford will be pushing available chips toward 2021 MY Bronco and F150 units.

My order has moved up the food chain slightly, it is now unscheduled Clean. Next step is a VIN.

Received my VIN today, thank you so much Earl "Snoopy49". I have a build week of 29 March. hopefully I will have the car in early April and that all the snow will be gone too.

Ford has already issued 1524 2021 GT500 VINs as of today and production doesn't start until the week of Feb 22 (next week).

IT'S HAPPENING!!!

My VIN was changed to "In Production - Sent to Plant" today. Stamp Shop should be making body parts any time now and it should be produced within days, not weeks. Yahoo!!!

The build date is the date you car rolls off the assembly line. So they have to start building it before that time. The build doesn't start until the Body Shop.
