I recently was in a total loss accident that claimed my 2016 GT Premium which prompted me to get myself into a 2017 GT Premium PP. I noticed a few things that seem a little strange/different and was wondering if anyone had noticed these.

Advancetrac - I have noticed that I cannot disable this at all. I have kept my foot on the brake, held the toggle, waited any number of seconds, and all that happens is TC turns on or off, no prompts about Advancetrac.

Rear Wheel Well - I didn't notice if my 2016 had this, but there appears to be some kind of fender bolt or something stick through to the wheel well from the front of the car. I feel like maybe this bolt is installed backwards possibly but again can't be sure. Will post pictures later if needed.

Thanks again folks.

Did you have it in a Track Mode ? I don't know if it is actually required but I was always turning Advancetrac off in a Track mode.

Got a picture of the body bolt in question. Again, not sure if its normal, just never noticed on my 2016, even when switching wheels.

Looks like the bolt is wrong and backwards. It should be a push pin holding it in.

Try holding the toggle longer, when I first got mine I thought it wasn't working for me either then I held it for what felt like forever and then finally I got the advanced track off message.

Thanks for the replies folks. Track mode did indeed allow me to get Advancetrac to turn off. As for the pushpin, I noticed it's like that on both sides. I guess if mine is the odd one out here I'll be taking it to the dealer and having them check it out!

Thanks again.

Can't you just hold the TC button for 7 seconds to completely turn off Advancetrac?

In my humble opinion, I would just buy 2 push pins for about $1 and put them on yourself. The dealer will find a way to scratch or chip something.

Those fasteners that look like push pins are threaded. Run your hands around the inside of your fender wells and check each one to be sure they are tight. Mine were loose.

Thanks again for all the answers! I've decided the push pins just don't bother me right now, running my winter setup so I don't need to worry about them. They are sitting very tight and no other pushpins are sticking out like the ones in question.

As far as the advancetrac was concerned, it seems that it can only be deactivated in track mode, I feel like my 2016 was able to disable in any mode, though I rarely turned that off.

Aside from that, I'm really happy with the new car, fitment all around is spot on. Being able to use Android Auto is fantastic. I feel like there are other changes as well, but for the better.

Heated and cooled seats remember the last setting now from shutting the car off. My 2016 I always had to turn them back on. This is a great feature for now with it being always cold. Could get annoying on those Saint Louis days where it's 30 in the morning and 80 by the afternoon. Still great though.
