I took a scissor jack and put it on top of my rotor and used a 2x4 up in my rear fender well and just slowly jacked the jack and it lowered the rotor allowing me to remove and replace the rear springs with ease.
I had a 225lb man hanging from my subframe. Not sure how a jack will help

I just went through this dance. I had all four bolts removed along with the front plates. Still had to bounce the passenger side up and down and eventually got it wiggled out. I think my problem was that I was not on level ground.
I think the exhaust was holding me back too. With the right curse words, I got it though.

I remember having this issue with my GTPP also when trying to remove my springs. I think I twisted the spring around to where the biggest gap at the top of the spring was facing me, and then pulled the rubber isolator out of the top mount first to give some more room for the spring itself to come out.
