Working a deal on a car at this moment.

Everything went well, xplan, eaa and all that good stuff.

However, on one line, DOC fees/Backend+/Fees: $670.00

What the hell is that for?

Usually 85, 100, 150 max, but 670
???

Is that their way of pulling a few bucks in for themselves?
That is unacceptable.

I assume, but don't know, that these are dealer fees. Mine had none. Get them to waive it or find another dealer.

"documentation fees charged for processing auto purchases and lease agreements to $80"

That was pulled from the LA Times. You sir have a shady dealership.

My Doc Fees listed on my order was $279.00 broken down as:
A. $164.00 Clerical + B. $115.00 Document delivery service but my salesman said this charge is only $100.00 under the X-Plan so I saved $179.00 there also. Sounds like you have gotten a stealth up charge.

Hey Joe. It states on the mca xplan pin print page that dealers may charge up to 100 max documents fees under plan pricing. Plus 275 administration fees. That's less then the 6 something they tried to charge you

Just a clarification: That $275 admin fee is already included in the x-plan price printed on the factory invoice.

You are correct that the doc fee cap is $100 per Ford for x-plan buyers.

My processing and documentation fees were $499... A bit steep, but they do give a blow by blow at the bottom of the page detailing the fees.

I figure if you get out the door including all the tax and fees for $500 or so less than the MSRP, you did OK, you could do better, but in todays car market....

BS fees.

Just tell them you will do the deal right now if the charges are removed. Usually works. Prepare to walk if needed, usually they cave.
