If BOV is vented to atmosphere and you have a serious pulley on, it will be loud at idle.

Funny because my P1X is nearly silent. If I didn't know there was a blower on the car, I wouldn't even notice it. Having an original D1 (oil fed) unit on my old 1989 Fox car made me make the helical decision because that blower was so loud. Perhaps each head unit has it's own signature sound?
Yep, I'm running a Tial Q50. Ditched the pro flo about a year ago. Making about 9.5 psi on a 4.75" Pulley. I'm not saying it's dead silent, but for sure you really have to listen to hear it. At Idle it's nearly undetectable.
Yeah, I'm referring to the supercharger noise itself. You still have a pretty big pulley on it so that's probably why its quieter. Gotta get a direct port manifold on and drop a pulley size! hahaYep, the BOV is for sure noisy. The old pro flow was not noisy at all. However I thought we were talking about supercharger gear noise, which again in my case is nearly silent.
What's crazy is my stg 2 p1x with even the 4.88 pulley the first time I fired it up I was like I thought this was supposed to be quieter with the helical gears. SOOOOOO far from stealth it wasn't even funny. Could hear the blower inside the car clearly at idle/low rpm, and 100 ft away outside no problem at idle. I wanted to open the transmission and verify it was helical because I was not impressed.Yep, the BOV is for sure noisy. The old pro flow was not noisy at all.
