Hi all, just got a 2019 Mustang GT A10. This is not my first fast car, but this is only my second actual "New" car. Given that, I paid new car money, and I as well as the wife want to keep the powertrain warranty intact, just in case. But, I do like to make my car's a little better / my own and it doesn't take long for the mod bug to bite. Ive been doing alot of searching and reading and from my understanding, a tune will probably deny warranty coverage on the motor or trans if something happened. So for now, thats out for a couple years. I dont have E85 by me anyways. But after a couple years maybe I'll go with the rousch pack, a FP kit if it comes out or maybe go all in and supercharge it but for right now I dont want to immediately knock my 5 year warranty down to 3 years. My next question is a good plan then? I live pretty close to a 1/4 mile track so I will take this every once in a while. I do plan on some suspension mods very soon, but my confusion mainly lies with making a little more power.

Would long tube headers be a warranty red flag? Would long tube headers even be worth it with out a tune? (I would be running cats of some sort if that matters)

Obviously cat backs / exhaust mods are generally ok, If I went long tube headers, would they match up the best to a 3" cat back best?

If it seems long tube headers would not be warranty safe, what exhaust plan would be the best bet? The expensive Borla S seems to have good gains for just a cat back from the dyno tests.

It seems like the factory air intake is pretty good, would my best bet be to get a high flow panel filter for it ? I was reading that you can open up the airflow path a bit too. Or would a actual intake be best? Is there even any intakes that dont need a tune?

I used to port and polish professionally, is there gains to be had in the intake manifold or throttle body?

Anyone know how heavy is the stock hood is, it seems like it weighs a ton when I opened it. A CF hood immediately crossed my mind but Im curious on the weight savings.

What else is there? If anyone has any advice, Id love to hear your 2 cents. Im sure I am not mentioning something or overlooking something, thanks!

To fully utilize LTH you'll need a tune anyways.

Drop in filter but keep stock box. Keeps iats down and 18+ OEM cai is pretty good.

BMR or Steeda suspension parts to help wheel hop. Cradle lockout at least plus vert links, or just do a stop the hop kit plus springs.

Exhaust should just be for sound preference. Wouldn't expect much in terms of gains other than dropping the OEM resonator freeing up some flow maybe worth a few hp.

If you have the pp1 brembos can swap in Eradispeed rotors to save weight on each corner.

Light weight wheels and better tires.

Light weight drive shaft. Gets to rpms quicker and less parasitic loss to the wheels.

No tune limits performance options.

1) replace the center resonator with an X or H pipe
2) install 4.09 gears
3) GT350 wheels and sway bars

Virtually invisible mods warranty-wise that will completely transform the car.

BMR CB005, BMR Springs, BMR braces, BMR shock mounts, new shocks if not PP shocks. Steeda also has the same parts so don't discount them either.

Tires if not Michelin's from the PP1.

Drop in air-filter.

That right there will make your Mustang a beast in it's "stock" form.

Thanks for the replys guys!

Unfortunately no I am not a PP, so not sure if that would change anyone's advice. Really wanted one but there was nothing anywhere even semi- near us that had the other options we wanted. Hope I dont really regret it down the line...

But I do like to take my turns fast though and may eventually go with my buddy to a autocross event or 2. Is there a good balance suspension wise for some thing that is good at the track, good for turns, and will drop me about a inch? There is so many choices its a bit overwhelming. (Sorry I should probably be asking this in the suspension section)

Zelek- would that change any of your recommendation?

The GT350 wheel offsets move your front wheel centerlines out, improving turn-in quickness, and the wider tires are an obvious upgrade. Theres a guy from Texas selling a set in the classified section for about $1000. The TPMS sync up to your car with no programming and your stock lugs will work. You’ll need a alignment to GT350 specs.

The GT350R sway bars and mounting brackets are less expensive than aftermarket bars and make the car corner flat as a pancake. Keeping the stock springs makes it more daily-driveable and also gives better weight transfer to the rear on hard acceleration.

The downside is that the wide front tires tramline like the PP2 tires, so its not as easy to drive.

There is a guy on here who loves the 4.09’s for autocrossing, but most guys don’t like them at the drag strip.

Not on a lot of it. Maybe a sway bar as well. Suspension is your best friend in autocross. I'd definitely hit up the suspension section. Some really knowledgeable guys there.
