Hmmm good point then I have to swap the fronts also from a 275 40 to a 275 35.
Why would you change the fronts? There is no reason to match them. The 35 or 40 is simply the sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the width. You should try to match the overall diameter of the wheel and tire rather than the profile number.

I liked the profile of the 40 series all around. I have done the fronts taller than the rears however the look didn't suit me. The ones on now are 40 all around. I am going to use the direction here though to get it right. To expensive to make another mistake..the original owner had spacers and I am not a fan so I made a calculation that was wrong on offset. I will correct it and order new.rears.

I am using the 19x9.5 with 40mm all around... M1007DC1995MB... allows for tire rotation for more even wear.

Because the 275/40 means a 295/35 or 305/35 rear will be shorter than his front tire. So if that kind of locks him into the 295/40, hes looking at. 28.2” tall rear tire. That just seems unnecessary given the big GT500 rear is only 27.44”. And thats already a whole inch taller than the rear on my M1HP. The 275/40/19 is 27.66” tall and i believe thats the tallest rear factory tire on a Mustang.

So if i were in his exact spot i would try to return those tires. Then get a new 10.5” wheel with a +52 offset, and run 275/35 and 295/35. If i couldnt return the tires id try l to sell the rears and just get a proper offset 9.5” wheel for the rear and another set of 275/40 for the back.

Since I am having the rears re done..I was thinking of going 19x11 and keeping the 315 40 tires ( the eagle F1 is a nice tire) it's the offset I don't want to mess up..any recommendations or calculator..

wheel-size.com use their sizing calculator and play around with the wheel/tire combo you want to try. Plug in you original specs for an accurate comparable...

Those tire size calculators arent gonna help you see if that tire will fit the wheel well on a lowered car.

You can MAYBE do that if you like the sizes you have. Those are just really tall tires! If you get that rear tucked in with the right offset its gonna completely fill the wheel well and may still rub. Im sure a 52 or 54 offset would be fine for suspension/strut clearance. I dont have any idea if that big tire will still hit the fender liner.

Its just hard to know how a tire that is 28.9” tall is gonna fit in the well even with proper offset, on a lowered car, when the tallest factory tire is 27.66”, the GT500 is 27.44”, and the M1HP is 26.44”. Thats 2.5” more tire than my M1HP.

I think it will fit as long as you have no poke at all via a bit of camber. Unsure if it will bottom out agains the wheel well under compression.

Because position matters. You have to have a 50-60 offset in the rear with an 11 inch wheel.

Yes its a Front wheel. They have different spacings. Look at the rear specs. Your 30 is 32mm more outboard than a ET62 on the shelby
