You are correct in my oh so humble and inexperienced opinion. Install a basic supercharger and just go. Unless you’re chasing times at the strip/track it’s the easiest way to increase power.

if you want big power na, get a Ferrari or something else with big balls.

Side bonus is it sounds really, really good.
5.2 voodoo is based off of a 458 platform and is 526 NA crank, so I'd start there since we're on a mustang forum. But considering that engine puts out 465~ whp, the gen 3 Coyote can do 510~ NA with bolt ons and E85.

Considering the GT350 nor the Ferrari were asked about in the original question, I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. The voodoo is slow in city driving so... but since this is a Mustang forum.

Pictured above are a cruiser, a bruiser and a track abuser. They are all purposeful in their own right.

Yea my original question kinda went wayward there for a bit. I do appreciate all of the relevant input though. I have thought about going with a pro charger. Long tubes are going on tomorrow, so I’m sure I’ll see some increase there. More sound if nothing else.

You cannot do that on 93... Well scratch that you can for 10 mins... Or for 6 or 8k to make it reliable.

Bro I'd just go supercharged then just change the pulley to run higher or lower boost. Because of the architecture of these motors they will always not feel powerful all motor because they don't deliver the torque of something like an LS.

You solve that issue with boost.

Or you just get used to the nature of the beast u drive
I’ve never felt like the car was slow by any means, just wanted more as most tend to. I have thought of a pro charger.

Yeah bro I'd just go that route. The max you'll get without cams all motor is 450ish on 93. Which is pretty damn good. The good news with superchargers is most of your exhaust stuff will work with it, but you might want to go ahead and do the oil pump gears before boosting

So I have my long tubes installed today. Car runs great and surprisingly went up to 470 hp, my question is is it normal to have more engine noise with the new headers? Obviously the exhaust is louder, but I have a slight tick that I never noticed before.

Sounds like it may be an exhaust leak. It's standard practice to re-torque the header bolts after a few heat cycles.

It’s strange, it doesn’t do it all the time, and you seem to hear it in the dash board. I haven’t heard it out side of the car.

Got it fixed. Believe it or not it was something small with the air conditioning in the car that a piece of was next to the passenger side header. When the headers were hot and the motor would move under certain RPM it would tap the header and make the tick noise all through the ac system, which is why I heard it in the dash area. Moved it maybe a centimeter and now all is good.

I made 476/408 with my manual 15, full exhaust, JLT CAI, GT350 IM, L&M intake cams, E85. I would like to switch to a ported CJ and try to make 500.

I’m thinking my next upgrade is going to be Pedders Coilovers for a better stance. Don’t want to do just springs.
