Please tell me there’s a way to turn off active braking where it doesn’t default to on every time I start the car.

I found that out as well. turned it off when I got the car then had it do that big brother shit to me when getting too close to another car, starts blinking at me when I'm doing 80 passing, crash warning! I thought it was going to slam brakes on me but didn't fortunately

You can adjust the sensitivity to low which helps but I can’t believe I can’t disable it permanently. It’s like my Jeep with that damn start stop bullshit, have to disable it every time I start the car.

There’s no way to turn it off completely even at a track?

I believe putting the car in Track Mode disables it, but since the car defaults to Normal Mode every time you start the car, you'll have to make the change every time you drive

You can go into the car settings and disable it but it will default to on the next time you start the car.

Cruise control has nothing to do with it, talking about the pre collision active braking.

Page 204 in the manual,

You can switch active braking off using the information display controls. See Information Displays (page 99).
Note: Active braking turns on every time you switch your vehicle on.

CRAP!

I bought a module that stays in the OBD port of the wife’s grand Cherokee to keep the auto start off and restart in the same modes I shut the car off with.
Hopefully someone makes something one day for Ford
