Awesome. I confirmed with a friend at Ford that can reprogram the cluster's mileage to correct itself.

Slightly off topic here but I didn't think this was necessarily new thread worthy:

I have a 15' GT Premium so I do have the factory MyColor options for both the gauges and ambient lighting. To be honest, I haven't used them much. Shortly after purchasing my car in Feb 2015, I changed the gauges and ambient lighting to red and left it that way all this time.

Fast forward to this past week, I went ahead and changed my gauge and ambient lighting to purple in support of my football team (Go Ravens!).

Anyway, I was driving over the weekend (at night, MyColor doesn't work during the day) and ran the car to redline in 2nd gear. Lo and behold the purple gauge color flashed to red as I approached redline!! Pretty cool little feature! I've never noticed it before because A) It's pretty rare that I run the car to redline and B) I had my gauges set to red all this time. Just figured I'd mention it.

I should add that I have yet to retest this but it seems to be too specific to be a coincidence. I'll have to try it again sometime soon though.

^Yes, the tach gauge will turn red once you hit redline on Premium clusters. A few videos on Youtube show this.

Could always pick up a cluster that's over your current mileage. Then run your stock cluster up to the mileage of the premium cluster, and swap it out. No need to reprogram the mileage then.

So the premium light module and the cluster is all that's needed? Or does something need reprogrammed besides the mileage? Maybe consolidate the info found on how to make MyColor in the OP.

Just to make sure, all you need is the premium cluster and have a local Ford dealer reprogram the mileage (assuming they'll do it) and that's it? No need for the Mycolor module that goes in the trunk or modifying the as-built data through the OBD port?
