Finally got her home today, first impression clutch and gearbox feels so much better.Magnaride feels positive with no bouncy or floaty feeling, yet to play with it all.
First drama though, going up detling hill was foggy and misty, put wipers on for the first time and the wiper blade came off of the arm.
Luckily it got wedged between the bonnet and screen.
Pulled over and clipped it fully home.(good start)
I noticed the screen does have a small ford badge, but the seats look like they are as previous(i thought the new ones had a slight zig zag pattern)Dealer confirmed mine is only 1 of 3 in the country.I didn't go pass 4000 revs and put about 50 miles on it.Good to be back in the GT
Congrats!

Where are the pics :D

Lucky that nothing happend when the wiper came off

looks really good! Magnetic with the export lights is a perfect match. that new front looks really aggressive!

My wife was behind me so she would have run over it.
Can you imagine phoning the dealer and them saying we'll have to order you one in.So much for the pdi check.

It is beautiful
Wheels look even more lost in the arches which can obviously easily be fixed. Good bit of rim protection on the Michelins too!

My standard wheels will be wrapped in winter tyres from the day I pick up the car :). I might have to bring my P51s to the dealer while picking up the car :D.

What are you initial impressions, the cluster, more input on the ride quality, the updated interior...

Such a good looking car in such a good colour.

What are your plans for it (if any)?

In sport mode the ride is definitely firmer but not uncomfortable.Everything feels tighter and planted rather than before where it felt bouncy and loose from the factory.
Not had the chance to play yet,the interior isn't that much different,no rattles or squeeks but the cluster imo is the star of the interior and you need to explore it to get used to it.First time with sync 3 as well. The aluminium facia Now has a brushed look rather than smooth which i like.
I would say the magnaride has to be chosen. It feels like my lowered 15 on coilovers but a much better ride. You won't need to upgrade the exaust, the active exaust sounds like my corsa and some more. The annoying jerky clutch has gone and the gear change is smooth as silk.No vibration at speed and brakes feel solid as before, although we still have that slight creaking on a hill and the handbrake seems slightly high.
That reminds me i haven't opened the bonnet yet,it might be an ecoboost lol

No plans really I'm skint now
Lol. I'll be in the same boat when I pick mine up later this month. Will need to save for a few months before doing anything.

Sorry to say but all those 18 haters, seeing this UK car, it looks fucking way better than my 15 did when I collected that.

The car just is on a whole new level of aggression and looks more like a Mustang designed to go hunting, looks really menacing stock, but also so clean and more premium.

Really nice, all I would say the lower ride height makes the wheels look a bit more lost, i'd get some 15mm on the rear and 25mm on the front, reckon it would look epic then even at stock ride height.

Wait until you try track mode, the DSC system works as follows:
- Normal, all 4 corners auto adjust depending on surface but is softest base setting.
- Sport, everything is firmed a little but should still take bumps and pot holes well without being crashy like cheaper coilovers or shock/springs
- Track, will be firm and be good on smooth roads and track.

Stock exhaust they sound immense, wait until you feel the response and power should feel much stronger, particular down low.

Yep the 15 gearbox/clutch felt miss-matched to me, it was obvious Ford fucked that up and hence why it got such a big makeover on both gearbox and clutch side. Though I do wish they had not messed with the ratio's but the engine does develop a lot more torque down low so doubt you will ever miss not having shorter ratio's but if it did would be an animal, if you stay NA, throw a 3.73 rear end in there, otherwise great as it is for an SC. :D

Yep and I prefer 18 from every angle, including front.

My 15 was same, magnetic, custom pack and this 18 I simply prefer it, better looking and more aggressive styling. :)
