From a standard R? Not much. AC, radio, sound deadening delete. It's all about the rarity, the VIN, and a purist approach to reduce the weight for an intended track machine.Nice car! How much less do the base R's weigh?
Thank's for the info. Reminds me of the Cobra R's with the radio and A/C delete. From a standard R? Not much. AC, radio, sound deadening delete. It's all about the rarity, the VIN, and a purist approach to reduce the weight for an intended track machine.

So did this get tagged for QC or was that luck of the draw? And it appears from the order page that just about everyone still has their car sitting at Flat Rock, how did you get so lucky?I've been asked by a few people, including our friend at FRAP, if I'm happy with the paint, gaps, and general fit & finish of the car.
Well, I think these pictures tell the story. It was given a quick (and supposedly, gentle) wash by the dealer before they put it in their showroom, but I haven't done a thing to it yet since bringing it home, so it still has a bunch of dust from 1,200+ miles of travel in a bouncing trailer that is bare plywood on the inside. No dusting, no polishing, no compound, no nothing - just as-is from FRAP.
Here's the roof, with autofocus on different points.....
And this is the leading edge of the driver's quarterpanel with the reflection of my shop.....
And just a couple shots that I thought looked cool.....

Without the radio, speakers, AC, sound deadener, backup camera, tire inflator kit, front floor mats, trunk mats I would suggest ~60 pounds in total from a standard R.From a standard R? Not much. Yep, I agree. I know the inflator isn't a feather..... I remove that for track, but I wonder how much the rest of it weighs?Without the radio, speakers, AC, sound deadener, backup camera, tire inflator kit, front floor mats, trunk mats I would suggest ~60 pounds in total from a standard R.
With the CF wheels, back seat and resonator delete, etc. would guess at ~150 lighter than a regular GT350.
;)
Tom, agreed for sure on the minimal weight difference between a base R and an Electronics Package car after you have removed a couple of items yourself.Yep, I agree. I know the inflator isn't a feather..... I remove that for track, but I wonder how much the rest of it weighs?
Remove the floor mats and inflator, I bet you are only talking a difference of 20 pounds????
I get it. If I didn't live in FL, I would have a base. I also get the rarity, car specific to VIN, etc. You guys have a special car, however the weight difference really isn't much between a base R and a standard R after removing the inflator and floor/trunk mats.
Has you car left flat rock yet?

Congrats to you!! I'm looking forward to seeing the delivery photos and hearing about how it arrived. Patience is a virtue! ;)Tom, agreed for sure on the minimal weight difference between a base R and an Electronics Package car after you have removed a couple of items yourself.
And yes JR157 was finally loaded onto a railcar yesterday after sitting almost 2 months at FR but getting used to that timeline and looking forward to delivery!

How'd you find out it shipped? Anyone get in trouble checking on it? Gratz on it leaving FR.And yes JR157 was finally loaded onto a railcar yesterday after sitting almost 2 months at FR but getting used to that timeline and looking forward to delivery!

Actually I have found that Ford's Custom Order Tracking (COTUS) works quite well for me and that is how I found out that it had shipped as I was checking it regularly. How'd you find out it shipped? Anyone get in trouble checking on it? Gratz on it leaving FR.![]()
