I soooooo wish that Ford would offer something like GM does with the Corvette regarding factory / museum delivery. It would be great if we could arrange through our dealer to pick the car up right at the factory - that way the dealership doesn't lose out on anything and we get the peace of mind and cool-factor of seeing the factory.

Here's one vote for Ford establishing something like the "Ford Peformance Experience Center" at Flat Rock so that buyers of any Mustang could opt to pick their car up after taking a factory tour.

Here's a pic of how GM does it - this is the "main street" delivery area for Corvettes. The buyer of any Corvette model can opt for museum delivery (which is a half-mile down the road from the factory in Bowling Green, KY) and enjoy the experience of a factory tour and museum visit.

Okay - it's getting warmer, but will likely not roll off the line for a few more days - maybe even after Easter. So, how 'bout we play a little game of "Guess The Chassis Number" since one hasn't been assigned yet.

I'll start by giving a clue - I'm hearing the highest number lately is around the low 240 range. It's a throw at the dartboard, but my guess is that my new R will be JR311.

Anyone else want to play? There may be a little special something GT350-related for the person who guesses it exact - I'll split any tie by drawing the tying user names from a hat. All decisions of the judge are final.

Since yours will roll down the line ahead of me - as is fitting, given how long you've been waiting - I'll register your numbers as 250 for you and 302 for me.

And, yeah, 302 would be cool from a heritage perspective.

Looks like things are moving a bit quicker than expected just yesterday. Rumor has it that my car may have received a beautiful, shiny coating of Magnetic today. FRAP has a four-day weekend coming up for Easter (Fri - Mon), but I expect to have more news come early next week, including that chassis number!
