Last time I had this beer was 36 years ago while helping change the oil on my dad's '84 GT. I was 15.

My son just got me a 6 pack after I told him how my dad loved his Miller while wrenching.

Hello old friend! 🍻

My mom and dad weren't big alcohol drinkers, but they did drink that beer occasionally when I was a kid as well.

I pick up Miller High Life, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Hamms at a local Liquor store. They are basically all the same, but it's a nice nostalgic touch. Plus, they are in 16oz 4 packs for $3 - $4.

Nice! 16 oz 6 packs here in Canada for $10.95 CAD which is about $7.50 USD.

All of these old brands were bought by the Plank Road Brewing Company in Milwaukee, WI and are brewed under contract by Miller, using their excess brewing capacity. I guess they are cheap here because they don't have to ship them very far.... about 10 miles. I think Plank Road also owns, Schlitz, Blatz, Strohs, Ice House and Rolling Rock. I just picked up two 16oz 4 packs of Hamms for $2.29 each. That's cheaper than bottled water.

Yea, they bought them and then changed the ingredients and now they suck. I used to love Special Export and Old Style, both are now undrinkable.

Yeah, they aren't great. But, I like that they kept the names alive.

Ah, good ol' Blatz... the first beer I ever got drunk on! My golf buddies and I will grab a case of Stroh's when hitting the course, usually for old times sake.

I'll buy a 4 pack just to have something to drink when I'm working and don't want to drink much alcohol. I really prefer craft beers, when I want to sit down and enjoy a beer.
I'm with you on the craft beers. For light stuff we do Michelob ultra or pick your mexican beer...

Hamms was the first beer I tasted back in the early '60s. Drank PBR through High School & College
Changed to Budweiser in my 30's and 40's, BUD light in my 50's and up until their new Marketing Plan with the most disgusting image on the can and commercials.
Guess I should look for Hamms again.

I also dropped Bud Light like a hot potato because of that nasty marketing BS.
Switched over to Coors Light, and I'm enjoying it more than the Bud Light.

You are aware that Coors has supported gay rights and all that other stuff for many years?
