Have a 2018 GT Premium with 401A. I have set and saved under My Mode for the exhaust to start as Sport mode but each time I start the car it shows as normal mode. Is there something I am missing while setting it or doing it wrong.

I am running into the same issue. I cannot find a way to get My Mode to be the default start-up setting. Mine also starts in Normal and I have to toggle it one click to My Mode. Not a huge deal by any means, but it would be nice to have it set as the default.

Ditto. It's annoying. I'm wondering if they have to start up in the default because that's how it's EPA tested.

Probably not EPA since EPA covers pollution. Probably NHTSA/DOT. As I understand all cars and light trucks are required to have T/C and stability control. The law allows the ability to defeat one or both but they must be enabled when the engine starts.

If you have active exhaust I believe there is a separate setting for quiet mode hours of operation. The manual has the details.

Yes, you can set the time for the Quiet Mode.

I want Track Mode exhaust with with Sport+ steering on start-up! :D

You know, that's a good point. Also made me consider that it may be that there's some liability in allowing people to start the car and already be in modes that are meant for "track only" ie loud exhaust, TC turned off etc.
I'd put my money on that.

ETA- I see Dick beat me to it above.

The EPA is responsible for both emissions and fuel economy testing. In fact, they don't directly measure how much fuel is consumed. They measure how much carbon comes out, calculate how much fuel use that equates to, and then add a fudge factor.
