Yea this is a stupid knee jerk reaction by the dealership. And this needs to be brought to the public's attention if they don't resolve this on their own. I say fight it buddy and come back to the forums.

The dealer revoked, not ford

Trust me having a popular site like Jalopnik write an article giving them bad press for something completely unfair to a customer would have them clenching their buttcheeks in a hurry and find a way to make things right. Mustangchief brought a lot to the site and was one of the most enthusiastic about this car. It's not right what happened.

If you know him you should tell Jalopnik his story since they seem to be interested in helping. Unless he works for Ford or a dealership (doesn't sound like it) the worst thing that could happen to him.... already did.

There's enough dirty dealer tactics out there. I'd love to see this wrong get fixed and see him back on these boards.

I think Ford probably took the LE allocation from the dealer and that is why he is not getting the car. The dealers are not allowed to give out company proprietary documents.

Over the months I have looked watched been excited . Then the wait along with no info and now orders being yanked have made me to where I don't really care if I get my car or not. Sad ..... Really hate it for you Dave. I hope they get some payback.

Nobody is forcing you to order. Cancel it. There will be 100 people to fill your spot.

I can only think that he had a friend at the dealer and he got hand on a document he shouldn't have. With that said, there is always a way to get a car you like. That the dealer got a "head nut" from Ford is logical. I did read the German sites about the engines and know the HP couple weeks now. (2.3 eco 314hp/ 5.0 435hp/ 3.7 300hp) That was posted weeks ago in German car magazines. Ford is doing so a bad job with the S550, it shouldn't be bought at all. Presenting a car in April and customers are pushed to buy the 2014 model, because Ford has still the lots full of them. What the "big" guys are thinking at Ford with still the old model blocking their lots and hoping customers jump like crazy to get hand now on a 2014? And I am not starting how Ford is treading us here in Canada. Still have to order a engine block heater for the V6/8 extra? WTH! Yes. That's a joke too. Dealers here still can't order any 2015 Mustang because they have no material about the car. "Maybe you come back in October......"

Have an appointment today to order a 2015 at the fifth (5) dealer to get one on a-plan pricing if he can order..... But the sales guy said I only need to know what order codes I like and he will fax it to the head office....

This is just stupid! Isn't an order a binding legal thing over there? I'd sue the hell out of both the dealership and Ford - not to mention going public with this ...
