Please tell me this is a joke... why would Ford actually care that much...

This has happened to another user that I know. He was told never to come back to this site, etc and could no longer post. This was a mandate from Ford Corporate. They watch this site like a hawk!!

It seems to me the retailer should be the only one facing punishment here, if they gave the sales guide to the OP when they might have been told not to disseminate it to the public. Seems to be that if this were to blow up on the auto sites like Jalopnik, etc Ford could face a lot more bad publicity than it was worth screwing over 1 enthusiast.

My guess would be that Ford did not take away his car. It was probably an agreement that was reached that if he complied with the terms (surrender ordered car and abandon this site) Ford would not take legal action for distributing copyright covered or sensitive material. Otherwise, why would he abandon the site? Already not getting the car, you would think he would be on here throwing a fit but he walks away? I have a feeling they threatened worse than canceling the LE. However, I am a nurse with no experience in these things except for working with some pretty clever, manipulative physicians in the past.

He has no liability unless he worked for Ford in some way the dealer should have never given him that information as it was properitary. They may have threatened to cancel his order if he did not leave the site I could see that.
