Still haven't had the call that they said they'd make to me on Tuesday, i'll give them a chance and i'll leave it till the end of the day before calling them, if they say they're still waiting to hear what another one sounds like the poo will hit the fan as it'll mean the cars been sat in the pouring rain for 2 days doing nothing whilst i'm sat here on my holiday somewhat not enjoying myself trying work out where to go with it all.

Eff being polite and giving them time, they said Tuesday, it's 3pm Wednesday, get onto them. Chase chase chase, harass the sh1ttttt outta them, eventually they'll get bored and fix it just to get rid of you.

It's a good use of your holiday, better uses would be driving the stang I'm sure :(

Manders - is it worth you putting in a good word with Karen/Stacey, to see if they can help? I'm sure they are missing you...

Left in the dealers hands, not much will get done if at all.

I'm exactly the same, far too laid back which I know doesn't help in these situations. That's why I think we should unleash The Manders:paddle:

if Twiggy wants me to, I can drop them an email, I'm sure they miss me unconditionally....

I just fear now that the car has been delivered it's out of their hands and escalation points actually sit with the general manager of the dealership, and then the likes of Andy Barratt should you wish to go down that route!
twiggy some things you just can't go with the flow with... Like the Mustang process flow, is snail pace slow, so you kinda have to push it along yourself. Trust me, I'm writing a process flow at work at the minute, and guarantee the Mustang process flow could be cut by about 5 weeks... I've just cut one from 6 months to 3... (Different kettle of fish with Bank Clients but you know!).

Just give them a few nudges, see where it gets you, or, just, throw sh1t at the fan :p

I'd be looking up the dealership on companies house, getting the directors details and letting the oik who is dealing with it know that Ford UK and his directors are being contacted, the cost of compensation is growing, the motoring & local press, trading standards etc are about to get involved etc etc.

The only incentive they have is to sell cars. Yours is sold so there's no incentive for them unless you create one.

He speaks the truth. Although, a bit extreme with the method.

It's the same with many things, warranty is a legal requirement, however, it's done on a best case basis, once a car is sold, the unfortunate realisation is, most dealers don't give a hoot... Some will give the good after customer care, they're the good ones.. The rest. Well... They just care about sales bonuses don't they!

Agree with slowhand99. I've used the following web site in the past to contact CEOs, MDs and directors with complaints that weren't being sorted. It worked (Recently I emailed the Worldwide CEO of Jaguar Landrover and in less than an hour I had the UK MD's assistant phone me to say they were looking into the issue)
http://www.ceoemail.com/
I'd also suggest tweeting your issue as that makes the complaint public... and corporations don't like that. Again, I've had swift resolutions to various issues by tweeting.
My advice is persevere and be rational and polite at all times... but an underlying threat to go public / alert their shareholders doesn't hurt.
Good luck.

You're not far from Bill Shepherd where you are. Ford might be grateful for their opinion.

BTW don't stop moaning on here! We're right behind you and it helps to talk. It could have been, and might still be, any one of us.
no that made laugh..... talk about blind leading blind

Well I finally gave in and made the call, they still haven't done anything as they're still waiting on a car to compare it to, they only have Autos at the dealers and it would mean having to tax a manual if they had one in before it went on the road, I did mention about possible rejection of the car but doubt it'll speed things up, sent an email to Ford UK aswell but not sure whether it'll help. Thing is at this rate I don't expect they'll have a car to compare it to until atleast the end of next week, then if they agree it's not right it'll be another week until they locate the cause, then it may take a few weeks to get parts then another week to fix it, then there's a chance it still might be doing the sound and we'll have to start all over again, this is my worse fear, so do I just reject it and start again or let them crack on. Talk about fed up.

I could drop by there on Saturday morning Twiggy if the idle buggers are serious. Mine isn't the best example obviously but as we're pretty sure that our problems are different (and mine much quieter) it should do the job.

If it's as bad as you say then there's no way that "they all do that sir". You need to point that out to them and get them started on diagnosing the problem.

You're being fobbed off. You need to start kicking off. It's unacceptable.

If I had a manual I'd go over on Saturday morning with you. There are a few around your area though. Anyone up for a flash meet to help twiggy out?

BTW who is the dealer?

It's Gowrings of Reading and I have offered Twiggy the use of my manual V8 when it arrives, My car arrived in Southampton late on Saturday so should be there anytime now...
