Wow, a lot of you are getting off pretty cheap. I'd have been all over it for even $500 - $600 (and would have brought in the wife's car to boot). I was getting quotes of $1000 - $1500 which was just laughably, ridiculously, insanely high ! Maybe if I had a La Ferrari or a Veyron or some top buck collectible car, but a Mustang & a G37 - not happening !!!

keep in mind, this is cquartz uk edition...all the companies have an "exclusive" version. despite how good my detailer is, houston is full on cquartz finest installers so he can't become one. and they charge $800+++ , it's supposedly a slightly different less forgiving chemical makeup that lasts more like 5+ years....but you gotta draw the line somewhere.

I did a full detail including cquartz myself. Wasn't terribly difficult, just extremely time consuming. I spent $80 on a cquartz detail kit which included ironx paint treament, the cquartz solution and applicator, and their reload spray sealant. I did have all the tools necessary for the prep of the paint. Prior to the application I did a detailed wash, clay bar, sprayed the car down with ironx, then polished the car with a dual action w/ chemical guys v36 hybrid polish, and finished with an ipa solution wipedown. Took me about 10-12 hrs in total but I certaintly saved alot of money not paying someone else to do it. Car turned out amazing and I can definitely tell that it does wonders in keeping the paint clean and protecting it from contaminants. Water is beading extremely well off the car, and it feels like the car stays cleaner much longer. I haven't washed the car in a week and it still looks great (minus the break dust w/ pp wheels).
