Hello everybody! Hope your health and spirits are well during our Covid situation.

I have been keeping a detailed record of my 2017 since I purchased the car last October with 388 miles on it.
After the first oil change I performed, at 1500 miles, I seem to be using a regular amount of oil every 500 miles. According to the hash marks on the dip stick, I drop one "diamond" every 500 miles.

Is this everyone's experience?

It looks like 15 oz of oil will raise the level 2 "diamonds" from what I have seen. I get about 15 to 20 mL out of my passenger side oil seperator every 2000 miles. These are rough numbers and I am basing my observations on the dip stick which is not scientific but I only check the oil in my garage in the same level spot each time.
Just a side note, a sample of the original oil I pulled out at 1500 miles to Blackstone revealed no contaminants. I also went from Ford to Amsoil as suggested by some fellow 350 owners.
Thanks for reading!

Hole to hole is one quart so "2 diamonds" is about a third. However, always wait until at/just below lower hole to add except in rare circumstances (as others have suggested some cars run between holes for a long time).
I have a 17 also and use one quart per 1500 miles with the same amount in catch can as you with 24k miles on the car so far. Seems to be within the expected range, some better, some worse.

Slightly off topic, but what's in your catch can is not part of the 'oil usage' debacle. You will always have oil in your catch can, as there is always a vacuum applied to the passenger valve cover under normal driving (under WOT you'll get no oil in the passenger catch can). So don't worry about what is in your passenger separator, just the dipstick levels.
