Well the show was about as disappointing as the news from Ford today. Shakespeare's as you like it was about as good as the news I got today from Ford (As I didn't like it).

No VIN today. Unscheduled clean for almost two weeks Ford?

Correction: His real name was Bob Denver and it was the show called "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis". But the same actor (Bob Denver) did also play on Gilligans Island. I would imagine thats information overload or as my wife would say "Ask me if I give a s---t." LOL

Tomorrow is another day and let's hope that some of the production scheduling information was a bit delayed today therefore maybe there is still a glimmer of hope for a better result on Friday!!

Well, my journey through London continues. I couldn't help but notice how Dickens first paragraph of the Tale of Two Cities paralleled our quest for the elusive CFTP.

As we know the CFTP cars will be lighter than the Base GT500 cars but will an improved and revised suspension be part of this equation?

We do know that the wheel sizes for the Base GT500 are a squared set up whereas the CFTP cars are a staggered wheel size set up therefore time will tell if all spring rates and height will all be the same?

When I had to change my order at the dealership, and we had found I couldn't get the CFTP allocation; when we removed the CFTP and changed my order to a base, it said the suspension was changed from (I don't remember the EXACT wording) magneride 3 to magneride 2. So the CFTP cars must have some slight tweaks to the way the magneride works, as well as smaller stiffer springs. Ford also did say the base cars will be more suited and faster at the dragstrip (obviously because they won't have all the aero and downforce on the car) but maybe the base cars are tuned more for the drag strip and the CFTP cars are tuned for the track as far as the suspension goes. That is my best guess after seeing what I saw.

Chuck: I'm WAY down south (or nearly so,) in Texas...Corpus Christi and yep, us old codgers have a fair showing on this Board.

Funny enough, I bought this new '19 while I was up in DC, and most of the time wasn't work related, so I was doing things like shooting a photo of a DL while standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial (the dealer thought I was nuts i think ...)
