in April 2020 I bought a Lund Ngauge and the 93/Flex/E85 tunes for a total of $770 from Lethal. A friend of mine, on my advice, picked up a used Ngauge and emailed Lund. They want $300 for 93/Flex tune and another $250 for E85. Is this the way it has always been? Did I get a better deal getting the new Ngauge and combo tunes?

I saw plenty of posts saying that a tune from Lund would run $300. I guess that meant everything but E85.

He wasn't prepared to be out $350 for the used Ngauge and $550 for the tunes.

It’s always been that way, or for as far back as I can remember anyway. The price of tunes did go up several months back though. I think they were $250 before for the basic tunes. You probably got in on a combo deal. I just ordered a 93 tune from them last week.

None are going to be fine unless policies change.

Livernois will be fine since they got CARB certs.
Thank your local tree huggers and communists

I posted this once before a long while back. My friend and I have the exact same car. We have rolled on many times and compared who's faster. My Lund flex tune did nothing for me except raise my redline to 7800 rpm. Even my 4.09 gears didn't allow me an advantage. We are always nose to nose up to well into triple digits. What did obviously help was the E85 tune. He can't keep up with me then.

So Lund charges $300 for Flex/91-93 tune that only increases redline.

I've never seen any drag times or dyno graphs showing where the tune does any good. Just like CAI, there's no proof of gains.

They are all absolute rips offs now. Get SCT/HP tuners software etc, learn the fundamentals, and get the book.

Their pricing is $300 for basic 91-93 premimum tune, then add $250 for the flex/e85 tune...$550 total. That $300 for the 91-93 premimum tune gets you a raised redline as I am the "friend" in the post above. We have the same exact car, both 6sp verts, running 93 premium. No difference in stock tune vs 91-93 Lund tune from a roll on in 1st to well up in triple digit speed. Cars were nose to nose the entire run. We did this multiple times btw. The raised redline does make it easier to drive as you are less likely to bump the rev limiter while shifting near the top of each gear. However, the e85 tune gets the job done as he can just pull away from me.

Pricing went up on base tunes a few months back. The E85/Flex option has always been an upgrade from the base tune.

For anyone looking into a Lund Racing custom tune or device/tune combo feel free to give us a shout and we'll be glad to assist you. We're Lund Racing's largest dealer and would love to earn your business.

Note sure what to tell you guys about the 93 tune not giving you an edge over your friend, but there are countless videos showing Lund (as well as all the others) tunes making more power everywhere in the curve compared to stock, with the tune being the only modification to the car. Is it possibly a monday/friday-built engine situation? Maybe. This is why before and after dyno sessions are important.
