What's your expected delivery date?I got a bottle of wine. I'll probably end up picking up some additional stuff (flowers for the the wife is a popular thing here) when I'll go an pick up the car as it is supposed to be a bit of a press event for them. (first car delivered)
No exact date, but it'll be 2nd half of August. It will be with the first (and probably only) shipment. There's only 26 sold in the country so far. My order was was the first one. Not sure if I'll be the first one to get it in the country, as I was not among the CL people, but if nothing else it will definitely be the first one delivered for this dealership. What's your expected delivery date?
Pretty sure the dealer had this custom made. Here's a link to Sillouette History's one print that has every gen.Notice that the Mustang II isn't even on that shirt. I don't think Ford wants to recognize that "generation". The S550 should actually be the 7th generation Mustang.

Why do you say that it's the 7th? I thought thew went by chassis only and not face lift revisions, What I found is this^^^ They could have gotten the missing Mustang II on the shirt of they wanted to ... they just didn't want to, guess I don't blame them.
Besides, the point I was really making is that the S550 is not the 6th Generation Mustang ... it's the really techically the 7th Generation.
Is the 1964.5 thru 1973 really the same generation? What are they considering a "generation change" ... just a chassis change? So the same chassis with 3 different complete body redesigns is still only "1 Generation"? :shrug:Why do you say that it's the 7th? I thought thew went by chassis only and not face lift revisions, What I found is this
Mustang 1: 1964.5-73 Falcon Chassis
Mustang II: 1974-78 Pinto Chassis
Mustang III:1979-93 Fox Chassis
Mustang IV: 1994-04 SN-95 Chassis
Mustang V: 2005-14 S197 Chassis
Mustang VI: 2015-XX S550 Chassis
Which Chassis is missing?
Hard to believe the 64-1/4 thru 73 were on the same chassis. Those 69 thru 73 models seemed so much larger. Even if on the same chassis, IMO they had some major design changes that might have warranted a "generation change". Anyway, thanks for the info. The 64 1/2 to 73 were indeed the same chassis it was all sheet metal and content changes. Look at the differences in the 2005-2009 And 2010-2014 S197 s they share almost no exterior panels (roof and doors only iirc) and completely different engines but chassis are the same so 1 generation.
