Hi guys,

Due for the 1 year service next this month and am wondering, if you take it to a ford dealer service centre, which one do you recommend in Sydney?

Thanks
Nick

If your going to take it to a Ford dealership, I'd just take it to the closest one.

I usually take my car to a specialist, I've found that they cost less and give better care, unless Ford servicing is free of course.

I agree - I was very disappointed with the service I got at my dealer. Any recommendations for an expert, trusted shop in Melbourne inner city area?

As long as the car is serviced by a qualified mechanic, using the right parts, no issue.
I had the Ford dealer do my oil at the 3000km free "service" (not my choice of words).
They forgot to tighten the screw that holds the flap in place below the oil filter and didn't reset the oil life monitor...
Other than that, they were fine but I won't go back there ever again unless for warranty claim.

I'm in the same boat. I was of the understanding that if you went with Ford servicing then you got free NRMA membership for a further year (up to 3 yrs from purchase) as well as a free map upgrade. This is about $260 worth all up. I think the service is about $450. I will have to see them this week to book as I need a new puddle light to be installed during the service.

As long as you use a licenced Mechanic that uses the correct parts your warranty is ok
the Dealer charges will be considerably higher
get a quote from your dealer and another from a local

Yes. I booked my service. Free NRMA is for 7 years. The service will cost $425 and will include Sync 2 map upgrade. (according to my local service rep). If there is any problems I will advise. (Next Tuesday)
