Seems like a lot of NSC allocated
Maybe factory is looking to clear MY17 and ready for MY18?

Or it could be due to the slowed sales in the US market. Either way, it's looking giod for AU!!

even if they did a huge run on the RHD backlog i would be interested to see how they would ship so many cars

It could also be due to Ford Aus updating/changing the ordering system over to the set allocations per dealership format

Well apparently I have no NSC issued yet. Don't know how they work out what order they're issued in given people who ordered after me have received them

Same. We'll just go stand over here and wait some more

I think it wont be any different on when we got the NSC or what newer system Ford AU has come up with allocating the NSC

Ultimately Ford factory will have the final decision on how many RHD cars to be build in a day and how many to be shipped
:headbang:

Ford lost another 1,000 USA sales

It was more than a five month wait for my NSC. Hopefully you will not suffer from 'The Grabber Blue Syndrome' like I did. It started to give me the blues!

I reckon my colour choice and/or ordering the optional silver wheels may have contributed to my wait. Josh's GB with standard black wheels (here on this forum) is the only GB car I have heard of being delivered in Australia on this forum.

On a positive note, for Australian customers at least, Ford lost another 1,000 USA sales over last years November figures, so may be a few more will come down-under, eventually: https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/2016/12/1/November-2016-US-Sales-Results-with-charts.pdf

Goes off dealer allocation doesn't it? So your dealer could for example have 12 mustangs allocated for it next year, 4 delivered in the first quarter etc. that's my only guess, people at Your dealer are probably In front of the line. I'm only guessing

That's just it, who knows?

With Grabber dropped from MY18 I'd like to know asap if I'm going to get it or not because TBH, if I don't it's probably 50/50 as to whether I cancel the order.

Don't lose heart apsilon yet; the situation can only improve from here. One salesman my partner spoke to said the supply issues had been fixed. While that could be a slight exaggeration, it points in the right direction.

Besides, as a fallback, ‘Orange Fury’ might be a great alternative.

From what i was told by my dealer all orders go to Ford Oz and they send orders to US as requested. Dealers do not get quotas or know the placings.

The just send their orders in and it joins the Ford oz queue. Ford oz then markets it to US. So if an order gets cancelled that removes a person from the queue and it goes to the next person on ford oz's list. Also if the car is built, it goes to the next person on that list with the same spec. Thats why you get people getting their cars a few months early.

This is done to prevent dealers putting in dummy orders to increase their chances/build up stock.

The trend of queue 'jumpers' probably indicates increase production as well as increased order cancellations :(
